POSH-Only vs. Open Events
  • POSH-Only Events include “POSH” in the title and are for members and their guests. These events follow POSH’s rules and consent culture.
  • Open Events may be hosted by members or sister groups and are open to polyam-friendly guests and newcomers exploring non-monogamy.

Community Standards

All attendees at POSH events—whether official or member-hosted—are expected to follow our Group Rules, which emphasize:

  • Enthusiastic and ongoing consent
  • Respect for boundaries and identities
  • Direct, honest communication
  • Inclusion over entitlement

POSH is a community group, not a dating space. If connections happen organically, that’s great—but our focus is always on respect and mutual support.

POSH Event Hosting Guide

For current members creating safe, inclusive, and consent-positive gatherings

Purpose

POSH events aren’t about dating—they’re about community. We prioritize connection, mutual respect, and shared values. Events should welcome a diversity of relationship styles, identities, and experiences, and center consent in both structure and interaction.

While many events are Houston Polyamory events, we also support participation in related community gatherings.

Who Can Host?

Anyone in the POSH community is welcome to host or share events, with a few distinctions:

1. POSH-Only Events

These events carry the POSH name, appear on the official calendar, and are open only to members and their approved guests. Because these events represent the group and its values, we ask that POSH-only event hosts meet the following criteria:

  • Have been a member of POSH for at least 3 months
  • Have attended at least two official POSH events (such as First Friday), or had a one-on-one meeting with at least one admin
  • Agree to uphold and model POSH’s group rules, consent culture, and community standards

2. Unofficial or Open Events

For more information about upcoming Houston Polyamory events, stay updated through our group channels.

Members are welcome to post or promote their own events that are open to non-members or the broader polyamorous community. These do not require admin approval but must follow basic group guidelines around tone and safety. These events should not include “POSH” in the title unless approved.

3. Community Events

Join us for various Houston Polyamory events that cater to a wide range of interests and preferences.

Feel free to share relevant events hosted by sister groups or other polyam-friendly organizations. We love seeing cross-community collaboration and resource-sharing.

The possibilities for Houston Polyamory events are endless, and we encourage all members to get involved.

Our community thrives on diverse Houston Polyamory events that cater to various interests.
